What does it mean?
For a family of m tests, Bonferroni applies alpha/m to each test. With valid p-values it limits the probability of at least one Type I error to at most alpha, without requiring independence.
Think through an example.
An everyday example
For five comparisons and family alpha=0.05, each threshold is 0.01. A p-value of 0.03 is not below that adjusted threshold.
